Bufab is a global supplier of fasteners and technical components with a strong focus on sustainability, compliance, and digitalization. In our Sustainable Supplier Engagement Program (SSEP), structured and validated supplier data is key to driving quality and transparency. This thesis explores how digital tools can improve supplier data intake and validation.

At Bufab, we believe that reliable supplier data is the foundation of sustainable sourcing. Through our Sustainable Supplier Engagement Program (SSEP), we aim to improve how we collect and validate data – and your thesis will help us take that next step toward automation and quality assurance.

The challenge you’ll take on

You can choose to focus on either building a digital intake form for suppliers using low-code/no-code platforms (e.g., PowerApps, Mendix), or developing a data validation and follow-up engine that ensures completeness and accuracy. Both approaches aim to improve supplier data quality and reduce manual work.

You will:

🌍 Build a web-based supplier intake form with guided input
🌍 Create a validation framework to detect missing fields, errors, and duplicates
🌍 Automate supplier follow-ups using workflows (e.g., Power Automate)
🌍 Test and evaluate the solution within Bufab’s SSEP

Good to know

To ensure good collaboration and support throughout the thesis period, we ask that you are present at our office in Värnamo at least once a week. You will be assigned a dedicated supervisor, and we will schedule an interview before the thesis period starts to align expectations and ensure a good match.
